Hanging out at the University District Streetfair

The University District Streetfair is the perfect place to catch local vendors from the Pacific Northwest. There are gorgeous unique finds on food, fashion, crafts, and home decor.

The U District Streetfair has a beautiful history: Started in the 1970s during times of political tension and civil unrest, the first festival was held to promote peace, healing, and understanding. Local artists and merchants would gather at this festival to carry out those ideas and bring the community together. Learn more about the history here.

The idea of bringing people together stands strong today. The festival has drawn an increasing number of locals and visitors each year. It’s so inspiring to see people come together from different areas to admire the works of local vendors.

It’s an incredible cultural experience for discovering art, design, food, and more!

Some of the gems I’ve captured at the festival:
PaintedTiles
Shirts
Popcorn
Breads
Flasks
GingerBeer
